Chinese New Year Celebrations at Broadbottom Primary School on Chinese New Years Day

Koi has a chat to the Year 2 class about traditional Chinese New Year foods

A selection of goodies to try for Chinese New Year

When we received a message from Mr Bell who teaches the Year 2 class in Broadbottom Primary School we were really excited to be invited to the village Primary school to have a chat to the children about foods we eat during Chinese New Year. We took along a selection on goodies on Chinese New Years Day and want to share them with you too.

The Children were also able to share with us the knowledge they had gained from studying all about China for the previous 2 weeks. They had learned about Chinese music, history, geography and culture. As we tasted the food, the children asked us questions about how our lives are and what our favorite Chinese foods are.

The children also learnt to say the all important phrase during New Year- “Kung Hey Fat Choy”. We would like to wish all our customers and friends a very happy Chinese New Year!
